Nine is great--it brings us Lego cake!

Remember how this is becoming my Thrillionaire photo blog? To capture the memories, people, to capture the moments. . .

During these long winter months I have to have concrete things to look forward to. One of those things is performing with the Thrillionaires, and the other is mixin' it up with the family. Ah, yah.

Hailey and me dressed for our "Oscar Wilde-style" show with Kirby Heyborne.

Maclain

Brett

Kirby and Matt (Jake wasn't at the show because his baby was busy being born! Yeah Franklin!)

My attempt, at Owen's request, at "Lego cake." Scattered around the cake is Lego candy you can buy in bulk at Macey's. You can really build stuff with them, it's cool. And this is also a picture of what Hugh ate for dinner on Sunday night.

Owen turned 9 this past weekend. I still remember his birth vividly (ironically my most reverent and calm birth) and so we celebrated with all things Legos. Hugh kept stealing them from the birthday boy, and magically disappear. Owen would find him moments later hiding under his bed with a sweaty palm full of lego-guys, and grab them back, and they'd both cry. We played that game several times this past weekend. For the record, somewhere in my house are over 40 Lego guys.

Oh my gosh! I sing that song all the time "Vianne is great, she brings us chocolate cake". I had no idea anyone else even knew (or remembered) that skit. You made my night.

WHAT? ~j was totally signed onto my account. I'm not giving her credit for knowing that. It was ME, ME, ME.

Yes, I'm a giver.

This post is off topic, although I should mention I love the Wilde costumes.
I saw you a while back on cjane's blog and couldn't think how I knew you. I thought it was probably from a class back in college days. Then I saw the article that mentioned how you and your husband met in the Miracle Pageant and I knew--I was a sheep in that play! And, being an English major myself, we probably did have a class together. Ah, memories.

That is hilarious! I was the "rapping" sheep and the chicken. Ah, memories!

Oh, how unfriendly of me. I've just realized my blogger profile is not available for viewing, or whatever that said. Now it is.
So, is Chris Clark/Satan also the guy who was crazy good at piano? I'm gonna have to get out my video and force myself to watch it.

Lisa said...

Oh, please don't watch that horrible video, just trust me--it IS the same Chris (topher) Clark who is wicked good on the piano!

Lisa girl,

I have three granddaughters who just turned nine--they are seven weeks apart. Nine is a wonderful age. Owen is a wonderful boy and you, my dear are the mostest wonderfulest of them all.

Great idea for a cake. We had a spy party for Aydan----complete with Spy Camp.

And I LOVE the pic of you and Hailey--ohhh, I miss hangin with you girls.

I wanted to tell you how great your performance was at the Mindy Gledhill concert! The Thrillionares are HILARIOUS!!! I can't wait to take Todd there on a date night!
I've had the BYU golf team take their dates there for a FUN date night instead of a boring dinner and movie.
Kudos. Loved it.

Love the lego theme. (Is it naughty of me to think that the yellow cake looks like a mold for an A-cup bra?) Probably not the best thing to bring up at a little boy's birthday party.

So, you don't know me, but I know Matt. Totally grew up with him. Wonder if he'd remember me? Probably not but boy was he funny.

I must know who painted that fabulous tree in your dining room. It is all kinds of wonderful and I must have one for myself!
